Learning about the Bill of Rights

STEM Academy 8th graders learned about how the Bill of Rights impacts the life of everyday people during a video program with the National Archives from Washington, DC. The students learned about how protests and letters to Congress were allowed under the First Amendment, and how a search of a suspect in a gambling case was found to be unlawful under the 4th Amendment. The students also discussed how technology was changing our understanding of our rights.
